After a 40-minute break,  Muhanned Al-Marsoomi, a young Iraqi singer who won in the regional Arab Idol, the Arabic version of the American Idol, to thank TEDxBaghdad for this event which inspired him for years to come, according to Marsoomi.

Hakeem Shakir, the National Football Team Coach, the single person who brought tears to millions of Iraqis by scoring multiple wins in international football championships, talked later about how a dream which seemed somewhat impossible to come true but succeeded despite all the obstacles that was put in his career, driving him later to be named as the Ambassador of Peace.

Hassan Al-Agele, an Iraqi young biomedical engineer and inventor who patented a device to help in the physical rehabilitation of illness-disabled people which drew a new hope for them in living a better life, after years-long struggles and challenges.

Later Sara Abdal Kareem, the Mail Woman of Peace, with her “Letters of Peace” talk, made everyone think about harmony in a different way, as each of the audience received a peace letter from American people overseas, filled with wishes of hope and prosperity for the Iraqi people.

Soft Rock, an Iraqi musical band, went on the stage and performed a song about the persistence of people which shatters many roadblocks, using guitars.

Mahmood Hajim, the Iraqi inventor who gave a talk on TEDxBaghdad 2011 about his innovative invention of the cleaved wing, and went back two years later today to describe yet another journey of achievements, and how his creations changed the way how people perceive their lives today.

Omar Al-Shaikhly, an Iraqi expert in preserving endangered animal species, went up the stage later on to talk about the many endangered animals and their illegal hunting in Iraq, and his 15-year-long journey of surveying the country for such animals.

The 16-year-old Sari Al-Jubory, an Iraqi comic story teller, went up the stage and illustrate through comics the story of an Iraqi patient with cancer, motivating people to think deeply on ways how to help compensate diseased people with needed care and attention.

Muhannad Falih, a young Iraqi puppet-master, performed later on a musical piece with puppets in a way that mesmerized the audience with so much skills and talent.

Later on, Yahay Al-Abdeli, the chairman  of TEDxBaghdad, went on the stage and gave certificates of appreciation to the 10 most accomplioshed and honest lecturers in Iraqi universities as their students have voted on them through online polls that were conducted through TEDxBaghdad Facebook page

And, as the last item in the second session of today’s event, Basma Haitham performed a musical piece that talks directly to the Iraqi youth.
